Jonny and Heather confront their concerns for the pending outcome of the midterm elections. Given that they have no results at the time of recording, they turn instead to anticipating November as Trans Awareness Month. They anticipate that, whatever the outcome of the elections, at least the trans community might catch a temporary break from the political scapegoating--longer if it turns out transphobia wasn't particularly effective at motivating conservative voters. In the back half of the show they examine some recent examples of elections curbing authoritarianism and allowing for the acceptance of LGBTQ+ rights. They compare and contrast JK Rowling's and Megan Rapinoe's take on trans rights. They close out with a commemoration of the late Sir Patrick Stewart, notable for many reasons, but especially for being an LGBTQ+ ally.
