🌈 Summary Part 1 :- Nolan loves Otis, that is the truth. But he is afraid that will end their seventeen years old friendship. Although he wants to risk it all with a kiss, Otis’ lukewarm response scares him, and he decides to resolve his emotions for his best friend in some other way. The other option happens to be Aaron, a star footballer of their uni, who one day proposes to Nolan out of the blue. But that doesn’t come out as a surprise to many, because Nolan is just as popular, if not more, as Aaron. But Aaron looks similar to Otis, and there’s a reason why Nolan agrees to this relationship so easily. But living with Aaron isn’t easy. As nice as he seems in the beginning, he isn’t nice. Controlling and emotionally manipulative, he aims to control Nolan. Slowly, but surely, he starts controlling how Nolan can act and behave before eventually asking Nolan to avoid meeting Otis because “it doesn’t look good.” Things seem to go in Aaron’s favor until a small confrontation between Nolan and Otis. It leads to a fight between Aaron and Nolan, and the latter then breaks up with him. Eventually, Nolan confesses to Otis that he chose Aaron because of him. Part 2 :- Now that Nolan has finally broken up with Aaron, he finds it unimportant to not inform Otis of his feelings. Things have already hit rock bottom, what can go wrong anyway? So, after the breakup, Nolan informs Otis that the reason he decided to stay with Aaron was him. He loved Otis, but was afraid that his feelings for Otis would ruin their friendship. To not risk it, and to will away his feelings for Otis, he decided to date Aaron. But, obviously, that didn’t work out. So, the two men talk and try to sort out their relationship. They even find out that Aaron has had some serious issues with his past relationship. This situation lands Aaron out of the football team, and all the while the two best friends kiss and make up. Otis also informs Nolan that the reason he didn’t want to rush anything after that sudden kiss is his parents; they are homophobic, and he fears they would not love him. But then he realizes he’d rather stay with Nolan than listen to each and every order from his parents. The two best friends reconcile, and begin their first step in a romantic relationship. They even decide they need to meet Otis’ parents.
