🌈 Summary MC is a single dad of 7-year-old Emma. He divorced from his wife and has been parenting alone. One day on his off day, a man who has been beaten up approaches him for help. He takes this man (Austin) to the hospital. Austin has no family to speak of, and nowhere to stay. Since he is in a fragile condition, MC does not think that he would be suitable for a homeless shelter due to his condition. So he offers his home to Austin who is thankful. Austin stays with MC till he gets a job and gets very attached to MC’s daughter. Seeing the way they interact has MC not wanting him to leave. They share a few flirty moments but do not kiss. Austin even paints a picture of MC shirtless that MC accidentally discovers. The tension increases between them with time. Over the next few weeks, he tells MC about how his ex-saved him from abusive parents only to abuse him. He also speaks about how he felt so indebted to his ex. One night Austin has a nightmare and MC wakes up to find him sitting alone. He calms him down and they end up kissing. Austin avoids MC after that but MC cannot stop thinking about him. Austin then claims that he wants to move out because he thinks he messed things up with MC. He thinks MC likes someone else but he is quickly corrected.
