Nikki Patin has been serving as the CEO for Brave Space Alliance for one month, but before then Nikki's had quite the career. Featured in The Guardian, Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Reader, Windy City Times and on WBEZ, WTTW, and HBO, Nikki Patin has been writing, performing, educating, leading organizations and advocating for over two decades.
Nikki talks with Anna about who they are, what qualified them for the CEO position out of the 100 applicants who applied, their tentative 10-year strategic plan for the future of Brave Space Alliance, and the impact Brave Space Alliance has had on the LGBTQ+ community.
Brave Space Alliance (BSA) is an LGBTQ+ focused community center on Chicago's South Side that welcomes and serves all who come through our doors. They strive to empower, embolden, and educate each other through mutual aid, knowledge-sharing, and the creation of community-sourced resources as we build a world of liberty and justice for all.
