Today you will hear my conversation with Devin Davis, a program coordinator at Amplify Arts Project (formerly Girls Rock) and Zealyn, the founder of Push-Up Bra LA. Both songwriters themselves, their organizations are joining forces to host a summer camp for teenage girls who will get to access professional writing rooms and mentorship from established women in the music industry. We discuss the ongoing fight to combat the lack of gender parity in the music industry, the main tentpoles of the program, and who Devin and Zealyn would have chosen to mentor their fifteen-year-old selves.
