Visual artist Jo Lane shares the story behind About Face, her master’s presentation first shown in London and now exhibited in Melbourne for the very first time. Opening Wednesday 5 August and continuing through the end of the month, the exhibition finds its home at Dawn & Mabel’s wine bar, 83 Acland Street, St Kilda. Lane’s broader practice has recently included works exploring desire, botanical forms, and the tension between natural environments and domestic spaces, reflecting her ongoing interest in female artists across eras and the fragility of biodiversity. Visitors can experience About Face in an intimate setting that has become known for hosting art, music and community‑driven cultural events.
