Andrew Delaney reflects on the Gender Bender Exhibition, a showcase shaped by the fourteen artists who influenced him while growing up in the country. Grace Jones, David Bowie, Annie Lennox and Divine were among the figures who helped form his creative imagination, and the exhibition traces how those early inspirations continue to echo through his visual practice. The show opens this Wednesday, 2 September, from 6 to 8pm at Dawn and Mable wine bar, 83 Acland Street, St Kilda.
